Our Appalachian Service Project crew will be leaving in less than 2 weeks on their drive to Sullivan County, Tennessee. Once they arrive, they will spend their time helping make local homes warmer, safer and drier through hands-on home repair projects that will help people be able to more comfortably and safely live in their homes.
This undertaking costs money, though, so one of the ways the crew is raising funds for this endeavor is by selling stock. The money raised from stock sales will be used to cover the cost of getting to Appalachia and our stay there. But even more importantly the money pays for the supplies needed, like roofing materials, new flooring, sheetrock, lumber and paint. These essentials repairs would not happen without the support of you, our stockholders.
Unlike most stock offerings, our shares guarantee rewarding dividends. All stockholders will get a postcard from our trip and will be invited to our stockholder luncheon on Sunday, July 23. On that day, we will be leading worship and then will have a luncheon in your honor. You will learn what a difference your stock share purchase has made!
So if you would like to become a stockholder, it’s only $10 per share and you can purchase as many shares as you’d like.
Please send $10.00 for each share. Checks should be made out to CCNF-SHY. You can also donate through the church’s website www.ccnf-ucc.org and click on the GIVE button to donate to the fund CCNF-SHY. (For anyone wondering, “SHY” stands for ‘Senior High Youth.’) In order to get communications about your dividends, be sure to include your name, address and email with your donation.
