On Sunday, Oct. 1st, we will begin offering a monthly service of Hope and Healing. This service is aimed at providing an opportunity to experience the support, comfort and sense of community of attending a worship service with communion, but with a shorter format to make it more accessible for those with challenges or demands on their time (such as primary caregivers and the loved ones for whom they care). It will begin at noon, so those who need a little more time to get out the door in the morning will still have an option to get to a worship service.
Please plan to join us to enjoy some familiar hymns and prayers, as well as partake in communion.
Meanwhile, New Fairfield is ‘Painting the Town Purple’ in September for Alzheimer’s awareness. Although the New Fairfield Town Fair Day previously scheduled for this weekend is cancelled because of the weather forecast, the other special events supporting the Alzheimer’s Association are still planned as noted in the event flyer below. Note the locations of each event on the flyer; these are not taking place at the church.
