Thank You, Blood Donors!

THANK YOU, DONORS! At the Red Cross Blood Drive held here yesterday,  the goal for donations collected was met. This included 2 Power Red donations, which count as “double donations” because they provide double the product.  (A Power Red donation uses an automated apheresis machine to collect two units of red blood cells—twice the amount of a standard donation—while returning plasma and platelets to the donor. ) In addition to the Power Red donations, 24 whole blood donations were collected.

The donors of whole blood will be eligible to donate again in 56 days, and are encouraged to visit  RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment at a nearby drive.
