Our Compassionate Kids, in collaboration with the Missions Team, have put together the Comfort & Care Bags that are now available to those who wish to have one on hand. These bags are intended to be a practical response to people in need wherever you find them.
The simple idea is this: keep a Comfort & Care Bag in your car. In the course of going about your day, if you come across someone holding a sign asking for help, you can offer the bag. It has small useful items that anyone might find helpful. Church members have already handed out some of these handy little bags.
You don’t have to be a church member to get a Comfort & Care Bag to hand out. Just contact the church office at 203-746-2865 and arrange to stop by to pick one up. A small donation of $5 to cover the cost of supplies is appreciated, but don’t let that stand in the way of your being able to offer a little bit of comfort and care to the next person in need you encounter. The church office is open Tuesdays – Friday, or you could come to church on Sunday and ask for a member of the Missions Team.
